World of peace and universal brotherhood through music

        Arts is beautiful! Artists makes the world beautiful. They create these beautiful perceptions of the world where we can live and dine, although fleetingly . Great artists have been great characters.Here are my four fav. moments of the Beautiful perceptions of the world created through music by great composers/song writers in the last 3 centuries.

    Ludwig Van Beethoven (1824):

    Ludwig Van Beethoven believed in universal brotherhood and equality of men.  He had all the reasons to hope for with monarchy overthrown as the French Revolution set in in the 1790s.  But as it culminated in dictatorship of Napoleon,  he was dejected.  Napoleon fell from hero to zero in  Beethoven's heart.   But Beethoven never lost faith in the goodness of man kind and the utopian ideals of universal brotherhood.  This culminates in him using the  text of Friedrich Schiller's ' an die freude'..  popularly known as' Ode to Joy' for his last and final symphony which is a greatest symphony ever written. It gives me goosebumps every single time.  It has been giving people goosebumps since 1824. To think that he was almost deaf when this symphony was premiered, It's unbelievable!  Fate is so cruel .

     Excerpts from the song(English translation)
Basically the theme is
"All men become brothers,
Beggers become brothers of Princess... "

 A new peaceful world (Vella pookal Ulagam)  A. R. RAHMAN:(2002)

    The noted prolific Tamil poet Kaviperarsu Vairamuthu in this poem has wished that peace descend upon the earth just like another season(winter, autumn, summer etc) descend upon the horizon./Just like a new season happen over the earth naturally. The text set to melodious cantibile music by the A. R. Rahman sir creates an unparalleled world in our senses as long as the song lasts. The pristine bright white filled world themed video again;What a pleasure to the senses.

MOM : BOLLYWOOD MUSIC REVIEW

                            We in India tend to forget that the film music composers are giving us film music albums and not their own music albums.I always hear my friends say ARR hasnt done well in this album when they dont get any melodious love song or a rock/metal rhythm song etc. I thought I will review MOM movie's music (more of a first impression really) and see what happens..  O Sona Tere Liye: A typical ARR adagio melody about a mom's wishes for her daughter that slowly grows on you with an enduring quality. Yes we have heard it before but the way he blows freshness in to every song is amazing: It was the same window; It was the Same season; It was evening again; but today the wind was magically different! Kooke Kawn: An interesting attempt/experiment.  It has the energy of a party song and interesting 'crow calls' but I am not sure why it fell flat to me personally..May be I have to listen more to start to like it but it's not in my 'now

IPL at its best!!Dnt miss this week!

Half way in to the crucial week which decides the 4 semifinalist,tables have turned yet again and the very interesting thing abt this tournament is that every team looks beatable and given the un predictable nature of the T20 it just adds more sheen to it..Sadly some of it was darkened last weekend by even more un predictable power cut :).But it strikes during Punjab's match with remarkable accuracy :(.I had to follow almost entire King's XI chase in my cell(on friday) and also a few overs in the middle during Deccan's innings on sunday.That last over by I.Pathan to R.Sharma in full flow(and had done it the day before) was awesome and to win it by one run was wonderful.It reminded me of T20 WC final! I can only feel for KKR team/staff and srk.Especially for a succesful celebrity like srk,it shd have been really difficult to see his team fail badly after all those profesional set up from CEO to coach.For players,it should be very difficult to motivate themselves for the

[Movie Review]Avatar--a real dream!

After days of viral fever and a marathon exam schedule,I was tired mentally and physically when i lay down on my seat!And soon I was seeing floating mountains,wierd flying creatures,bright neon like glowing structures,exotic flowers u have hardly seen before,a tree of souls through which u can speak to your forefathers and many more...The dream was chimerical.The dream was pleasant and eye catching.The dream was 'Avatar'. But sooner or later though you have to wake up and you just cant ignore the facts . The same old hackneyed story of 'Man Vs Alien' and the same old characters we have read and have seen in many old classics.No price for guessing what Cameron was concentrating on in this million dollar venture.This is not a movie made on just a wild thought.This is cerebral.In this 3 long hours episode he introduces us to a unique/wierd race and as the protagonist learn from the female lead in the story abt their traditions and culture you would too but after abt 70/
