              Love.Pure love.Not just between any two people.Between two characters( inspired by 'The Last Leaf' I presume). Both the characters played seemlessly by two good actors.      Now place this love in a historical background in 1950s where excavations,artifacts and a zameendar fit in so perfectly .Colour them with good supporting casts.           As good as it sounds already,it's definetly not enough to make a good movie. If I became a fan of Vikramaditya Motwane after Udaan,then I dont know what Lootera has done to me.I think I respect his art skill even more now.             The way he has captured the emotions in every scene which is highlighted in every frame by very appropriate music and amazingly wonderful lyrics.That is what makes it a beautiful poem.           Total recall is a neat Sci-Fi action film but it sort of tires you out with too much action and little twists for 2 hours.        First things first.This remake has no weird/bizarre faces except for a ‘3 breasted prostitute’ who appeared for a scene.It doesnt try to be funny even for a sec unlike the old one and it has lots of robot soldiers (but only a few man Vs machine fight scenes).        I am that kind who usually find it very unsettling to see flying cars and other weird things. But I liked this futuristic world where all the action happens. There is   a ‘real world like’ Colony,where it would rain mostly and a synthetic ‘United fed. of Britain’. Absolutely loved the cinematography. Also made me wonder why they did not shot it in 3D.        The 2 female leads (esp. Kate) were equally powerful and good in d action scenes but I felt bored after ...

Though,these days in real life am very bored,the reel stories I have been seeing on screen of late have been quite exemplary.Last week I told you abt how my 'Avatar' dream was a visual spectacle and today was yet another treat but this time the difference is that Selvaraghavan took me on a journey back in time to meet the Cholas of the 12th century and the journey was brutal with hidden dangers like spate of snakes,indigenous tribes etc and it was washed with blood and more blood!Ya,the journey was 'Aayirathil Oruvan'. There are lots of things new about this movie which is very refreshing to see in Tamil cinema(Kollywood).[I dont know why but i like it as 'Tamil cinema' rather than kollywood].The first thing was the genre which (I would say) was history/war/fiction genre.The next refreshing thing to see was that it was not a hero/heroine(2 heroines) going on this dangerous journey,romancing along the way but rather this is 3 different characters(A forrest ...

After days of viral fever and a marathon exam schedule,I was tired mentally and physically when i lay down on my seat!And soon I was seeing floating mountains,wierd flying creatures,bright neon like glowing structures,exotic flowers u have hardly seen before,a tree of souls through which u can speak to your forefathers and many more...The dream was chimerical.The dream was pleasant and eye catching.The dream was 'Avatar'. But sooner or later though you have to wake up and you just cant ignore the facts . The same old hackneyed story of 'Man Vs Alien' and the same old characters we have read and have seen in many old classics.No price for guessing what Cameron was concentrating on in this million dollar venture.This is not a movie made on just a wild thought.This is cerebral.In this 3 long hours episode he introduces us to a unique/wierd race and as the protagonist learn from the female lead in the story abt their traditions and culture you would too but after abt 70/...

Here comes August 1.What do u think?yet another month?No yet another movie :)...Well, it just happens to be a new month.Actually its a saturday,another weekend and after silent rumination I could not help but consent my hearts avid desire for (yet another) a movie.It may even even sound asinine (to some of u) how I still have not lost interest given the trite or banal nature of these films.But thats the way my heart goes and thats the way I go... :) Cogitating over the options available I sieved '17 again' and Love aaj kal(a hindi movie).'17 again' sounded like another teen/romance sort of a movie with Zac Effron effect which would make most girls scream[atleast in their hearts :)... and girls,if this is not you dont bother] while 'Love aaj kal' sounded like yet another feel good soft romantic movie and guess what i chose?
